The German Embassy in Dhaka has issued a stern warning to Bangladeshi visa applicants, following similar alerts from the US and UK embassies.  The embassy cautions against fraudulent agents claiming to assist with visa applications. Applicants can apply directly without any agent, as the embassy does not endorse any visa support agents. Using an agent is legal but not mandatory. 

For accurate and up-to-date information, the embassy advises checking its official website or the approved service provider VFS Global. 

The embassy warns: never trust anyone promising visas or work permits for a high fee. Submission of fake or fraudulent documents may lead to visa cancellation and permanent recording of the applicant’s information in the embassy system.
